Renaming projects behaviour
« on: February 29, 2024, 02:42:27 pm »
When I rename a project a new one is given a changed target setting.

An initial project's name was "Simple.Project". That name was via "Save Project As ..." menu bar changed to "Simple.Project2".

Then it occurred that created EXE file was "simple.project2.project.exe".
I would expect "simple.project2.exe".

Option "Target File Name" in Options for a new project was set (internally by Lazarus) to "simple.project2.project".

Is such behaviour intended and has some rationale?

No, it must be another bug related to dotted filenames.
I will test if I can reproduce.
Mostly Lazarus trunk and FPC 3.2 on Manjaro Linux 64-bit.
