Targeted Line Colouring and Filling
« on: February 12, 2024, 12:47:51 pm »
The 2nd Randomly Colored colourful tree that I created in the post (https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,66009.0.html) got me thinking "is there a way of filling to a certain level and line colouring to another recursive level" ?

My brain started brainstorming with some help of the triple brew coffee that I usually make, .... and after experimenting I came up with "Yes it is possible"

I did not like the appearance of black and other random dark colours, so I thought "Hmmm, Luminance threshold could be limited"

So here is one version of what I came up with.

And the story might continue, with some additional updates. I wonder what else could be achieved!

Spoiler ALERT.

Instead of random colors, target a transition from brown to green.

Still have the fill happen to a certain recursive level, and non filling above those recursive levels.

This is what I mean of-course.

My next step was to simulate new growth and possible blossoming by adding colour to just the tips of the tree.

Attached are some examples for both tree types (Randomly Coloured tree and Brown to Green tree).

The tips of the trees were not always well pronounced, so I pondered on what else I could do !

My Solution was to vary the colour tip level, by just colouring the last one, two or three recursion levels.

So this is where I am at with this version of the Pythagoras Tree for Colouring and Filling !

Kinda like the added coloured tips effect.
