« on: December 20, 2004, 08:52:52 pm »
i want to port my app from d to lazarus.

in my app i use Virtual Treeview.
http://www.delphi-gems.com/VirtualTreeview/VT.php

is there any simular component in lazarus or is somebody currently porting this component to lcl ?

i like Virtual Treeview very much because it is fast, easy and can do a lot.

and i would also need the action list & mdi features ?
something in work ?

you have done a great job with lazarus. i tried it for some years ago, there was many crashes ...

The VirtualTreeview is a nice component (I ise it myself aswell).  Alltough it is win32 centric, it migth be possible to port it.
The only treeview abailable in LAzarus is the TTreeview, whci is a custom component aswell. In the future this may be replaced by a native treeview and there may come a native treeview with columns. But that is far future.

TActionList should be available (it is part of the standard toolbar (the last button))

MDI is not possible at the moment and has a low proirity.

MDI works on Windows, but not on Linux.

The best way for MDI features would be the Tab Interface like Lazarus.

So you don't need the docking features for toolbar & status windows

MDI is now deprecated on Win32 (see how Office XP operates), and i'm not sure it is available on Win64.
