When reading from the folder with the application it works fine, when reading from another folder, after the "Reset" function, the files disappear.
Well, I am patiently waiting for your bug-report then. The reset function exists for over 3 decades (or is it 4 already ?) and no-one ever had any issues with it. Or to put it into other words: The odds seem to favour the fact that the reset function works as intended.

No one is asking for such a thing. It is common to provide a full working example that is able to reproduce the/a bug. Not doing so will only lead to speculation. Communicating using text is hard enough as it is. Add to that the language barrier that is pretty common to exist and not to mention the fact that crystal balls are pretty scarce these days.
But it is clear to me that the "Reset" function deletes files when they are taken from another folder, it is the only difference between the two execution modes and that is the problem.
If you truly believe that, then I am sorry to say that you are wrong.

You might think it is closed but in fact it isn't. You'll figure that out soon enough though as the snippet of code that you did show in you post is riddled with errors and non defensive programming.
If this is your attitude towards people that are trying to help you then please consider to refrain from asking for help at all. There is nothing wrong with being a beginner (there are plenty of them on these forums and I even consider myself as still being one) but simply refusing to let other people help you and disregarding the request of presenting a full working example that is able to reproduce the issue is just dumb (there is no other way to say that without sounding as an insult). At one point of another we have all been at the position were you are at right now (being a total noob at a programming language or programming in general) and have gone through the same experience(s). It will be a much easier process to just let others help you out and you can do that by start listening to what people are telling/asking you.
But since the topic is closed for you, this whole rant from my hand has no point other than to thank all the people that are around with their expertise and knowledge and which they share with us. In their free time. Not being paid for it. Regularly running into people like you that ask for help but really do not wish to be helped at all. Effectively wasting their time. Because your time (and code) is much more precious than ours of course.
