how to search record in tbufdataset

I have used TBufDataset in my application .Which is having lot of locate and edit records .

which is really slow .

does anyone have better solutions .

If you locate a lot maybe you need indexes? I believe there is something about it in the wiki somewhere.

I have already added index still it is slow .

It is solved . I have change my index key to numeric
