virtualdbtreeex how get child or know if has child

Sorry i  bored somebody but tried to work with virtualdbtreeex, what i tri to get the first childnode or how many child node has, but ths functions or process can run only inside of virtualdbtreeex, is possible to handle those events directly or how i can that information...

any help are welcome...
