Hello all !

- Use Alt-Shift-1 to fold everything
OMG ! Where/How do you find that shortcut ? Not in the right-click, AFAIS.

Well, I used the cleandir example, with confcleandirs project, because it shows a long comment at the beginning of the unit.
And I've done what you wrote, Alt-Shift-1 and everything is folded,
I only open implementation and save the project, close the IDE then restart it and... ONLY the big comment at the top of the unit is unfolded.
If it is the only problem, well, that's OK !  ;)

Bravo to you, guys !
And a big THANKS for the help.
Now I'm happy to continue coding, that's fun !

Best regards,

Well, I "found" it by adding it to the IDE myself .... ;)

But well, yes, the IDE has tons of goodies (see the links in my signature)

Ok, for me even the comment stays closed. But I haven't all keywords enabled for fold (not changing and restoring my conf again...)

In the future, if/when you get to have 3.0 then test again, and let me know if anything still goes wrong. (even if it does not bother you)

Remember
I have lived with this inconvenience for 10 years or more...
You had this for a long time.

I didn't even know. And since I wrote/maintain the code-folding, if I don't know it then I can't fix it.

Well, I probably got to know about a year ago, some one else had reported an issue (same or very similar) back then => and that got fixed.
But that is still 9 years that you had the issue... Had you reported it back then, it might have been fixed a long time ago.

And even if you have an issue that is no problem to you => please report, there could be a bigger problem hidden somewhere...

That's the main problem : time spent reading goodies is lost for coding. Ah, Shakespeare, coding or learning goodies, that is the question:D

Oh, it wasn't very important, just annoying.

Reported two issues this morning, waiting for solutions (https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,64327.0.html -- https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,64328.0.html)
(By the way, I was surprised by the speed of the responses about my folding problem -- funny, nice and cool, +1!)

For graphical issues (font / form placement) always give your Widgetset (qt,gtk(n),win, ...), maybe desktop manager (gnome,mate,...).

You may want to add those 2 the bug tracker.

Done for both posts, thanks to refresh my tired memory...  8)

Not sure if it is a bug or a misuse, so, waiting a little bit for some returns (if any).
