Ubunto can't remove lazzarus 2.0.6+dfsg-3

I run commands to remove lazarus i installed with sudo and installed lazarus 2.2.6 from sourceforget but after open lazarus still 2.0.6 + dfsg

how to remove  make clean install or update

What exact commands did you use to remove Lazarus ?

Did you also remove Free Pascal ?

What version and bitness of Ubuntu are you using ? What bitness and versions of Lazarus and Free Pascal were installed that you seem unable to remove ? Did you receive any error message when you tried to remove the old Lazarus installation when you used the commands ?

Use GDebi or Synaptic Package Manager. They are useful tools in Linux, to check dependencies, install/uninstall and fixing broken packages.

I don't know you can see after install lazarus 2.2.6 when lazarus show 2.0.6 dfsg and you can also is not installed suppose i remove complete but still there.....

what i can do ? to install lazarus 2.2.6

I am not sure if it is related or not. But some years ago, Lazarus had installation issue with the packages provided by Ubuntu package maintainer.

First. Make sure you have correct Lazarus/FPC/sources installed in your system. Use your Synaptic Package Manager the check the version of the installed pakages (see img1):
Lazarus project --- version 2.2.6
fpc-laz --- version 3.2.2
fpc-src --- version 3.2.2

You should also check your Lazarus about box, by doing this:
Lazarus main menu > Help > About Lazarus.
It should show you version 2.2.6, see img2.

If you get the correct versions reported by Synaptic and about box, you should have your Lazarus installed properly.

But if you're having different version installed, you may need to perform a complete Lazarus/FPC removal before installing them, read here:

Thanks i got remove version 2.0.6 and install 2.2.6 ...

First I use synaptic Pakage and uninstall all lazaruz related file fpc fpc-src and lazarus
Second I'm not familiar with Lazarus so you'll have to experiment a bit. Open your home folder, click View ▸ Show Hidden Files, and then look for anything related to Lazarus:

go computer and system and usr  shared  and find lazarus folder delete all folders

and then download lazarus from sourforge and install and now is running....

I learning lazarus i hope learn well this os...
