StackOverflow Developers Survey does not offer FPC or Lazarus as a "tick the box" answer to anything. Please fill it it and add whats necessary under the "Other" free form text answers.

How strange that they accepted Delphi as the language and didn't put pascal or Lazarus.

Also difficult to answer if you work in a very small firm. They assume a large organisation in many questions about internal communications without giving an option for "I can hit the other guy in the company from where I'm sitting".

I thought Delphi, and Lazarus are only IDEs and not a language. The language is Pascal. FPC or Turbo, again, are different instances of a class. No?

Embarcadero rebadged Object Pascal as "the Delphi language" a really long time ago.

Some say it was to attempt to trademark the language by extending the trademark they already had (*), some say that Pascal had too many negative connotations with US IT managers.

(*) Sometimes you hear people suggesting it was anti-FPC or anti-Lazarus, but I think _if_ it is true, it was more about late 00s  Java , .NET and mobile startups. Garden's Point etc.
