[SOLVED] Some insertion tool?
« on: April 14, 2023, 06:06:50 pm »
What is the window on the screenshot? It's on Linux+KDE and it activates on Ctrl+; (semicolon). Does it belong to KDE or to Qt? Or even to X11? It seems I cannot deactivatre it nowhere in System Settings of KDE.

Lazarus 2.3.0 (rev main-2_3-2863...) FPC 3.3.1 x86_64-linux-qt Chakra, Qt 4.8.7/5.13.2, Plasma 5.17.3

Unable to reproduce on bookworm mint (so doe snot seem to be x11).

At first sight looks like a clipboard manager to me. Which one does your system have installed ? (a generic search for the key combination in combination with clipboard manager does not return any related results for me)

I found this:

Not sure if it's relevant to your issue though.

Thanks, you got me on the right way.

It is fcitx, i.e. part of X Window System. Since I use Klipper, I don't need fcitx-clipboard features. It can be disabled (in KDE) in System Settings -> Local Settings -> Input Method -> Addon Config -> Clipboard and unassign shortcut in its config dialog.
