Can I create System Preference Plugin?
« on: March 29, 2023, 07:07:39 pm »
I am not sure what the "official" name is for the OS components on Mac. However, I have a Windows TService app that I would like to move to the Mac, what is this called on a Mac?

And I have a CPL control panel interface to tweak/configure the TService app, what is this called on a Mac?

Lastly, can Lazarus build both of those on a Mac (10.14 Mojave)?

I have no idea how to do this, but I can answer one question: It's called a Preference Pane (Apple docs).
Maybe this helps finding how to do this in Lazarus.

A windows "service" is a macOS daemon or agent - for the details and differences and example code, see my Wiki article macOS Daemons and Agents.

This may not be needed, but if it is, then it is a Preference Pane.

I don't see why not.
