 I wish to thank all the people from Forums

Lately some very knowledgeable forum members have joined us in #fpc to help out with the discussion and questions about Lazarus and fpc.
Thank you so much I couldn’t make the channel this good by myself. 

People in the channel are getting help with their programming projects and recently we were doing algorithm challenges in pascal  for fun and comparing different solutions.

Lately I have been working on a descendant of tcombobox as well as a helper for Tstrings. Many valuable insights have been provided that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. I will continue to share the code as it progresses.

We welcome more friendly helpful people who enjoy writing programs using fpc {or any pascal family language} to come join us.
If anyone reading this is curious about using irc for first time and needs help getting it set up I’m here to help.

Today I joined your IRC, while you was not online, everything was shiny after you joined IRC it just needed 5 minutes and I got banned.

I ain't act like a troll, I was not rude and I answered your question and you ban me without any real reason.
Hey, I even had a small conversation before you banned me without any reason.

By not acting too aggressively. I already mentioned that earlier.

Up until the ban I don't see any real rudeness (other than the ban itself).

You ask "will it work". Answer "No it will not work".
Otherwise you should have asked "WHY will it not work".
Besides... yes, you do ask a lot of question coming in like that.

You didn't even introduce yourself !!!! (which you do ask from your users)
You could have stated that you are the moderator of the channel and would like to know some things (to rule out bots).

I've said this before... but hey... it's "your" channel.

Hmmm "rollenspieler" or not, just read the image1, up to the moment before you banned me I really think that I was typing in a normal and friendly way.
Of course I do not use my real-name, like on this forum, it is just a Nickname.
Maybe you had a bad day or maybe my name was not to deep pascal related for you (PascalCoder) - it is like it is.
My intension was in no way to be on a crusade, so please not take it personal and others please not flame her.

By joining as unknown new guy and of course also to get a feeling about the other threads about quick bans.

If my experience would have been different, in a happy end way I mean, that I would have also told in here, but it is like it is.

You said that I lied? Nope I did not. I've started in this forum the webchat, I've installed HexChat since it is mentioned there, inside app I typed "pascal" in search term.
Than IRC put me in a "#fpc-unregistered(?)" channel, sorry forgot the name of that, so I've registered and came back doing same thing again and voilá, I was there.

In my world, you did asked and I have answered and got banned for answering.

OK.... IMHO (and I am going to confer with the rest of the moderation team, but that may take a while) we had more than the fair share of "IRC" topics....

That is topics
- advertising IRC
- complaining/defending about anything/anyone in relation of IRC
- education about how spammer/trolls/others may act. Or why, or whatever.

I wont at this time judge, if we may or may not need a place for further debate. But IMHO, the way it is now, it takes to heavy a toll on anyone else using the forum for other purposes.

So until further notice, please don't.

After thorough review the moderators have decided to

ban any IRC related topics (and posts) from the forum.

• Those topics and post have become a repetition of of the same content over and over.
• At this stage, the distracting impact on other forum users has surpassed any benefits.
• The forum moderators are not active on IRC. New posts on the forum will not change anything.

Please do not make any topics, posts or replies that are about
- IRC
- general info about trolls/spam/etc (if it pertains to the forum, use "report to moderator" to inform moderators)

If anyone else does post anything falling into the above:
- Do not reply.  Do not even reply to tell them that they should not.
- Report to moderation.
