Hi,
I eas just looking at a rich memo and the only text formatting it will support is bold and italic and won't underline so
I was wondering which would be the best rich memo component for this task and some tips how I can convert srlected text would be good.

Thanks in advance

Does it have to be RichText?

I guess it depends on what you are trying to do here?

For example, the TSynEdit can be used to do just about anything but its more intended for code writing.

If you are using linux, I would avoid using the richmemo component as it seems to have bugs and can (somehow) foul up your entire lazarus install.
I'm told that it works fine though on windows with no problems.

And it seems to me that it does handle underline as well as all the other richtext features.

I suggest KMemo, https://wiki.freepascal.org/KControls/KMemo_notes if you want to do varying font sizes, bold, italics, underline, strikeout etc.

I have used it very successfully in my app.
