since it is a valid link: removed. The wiki link should be either removed or marked. For now, I will mark it.
If the original author is still on the forum he can correct that.

I unmarked it because it is a valid link. Mattias Gaertner  wrote it and he is very active and a core developer.

Sorry Mattias, corrected. Hope to see you in Salamanca!

Object Pascal programmers should get rid of their "component fetish" especially with the non-visuals.

Perhaps you need trunk versions of both FPC and Lazarus (just a guess - I use the release versions).

It is not perhaps ,it is a necessity.

Sortbase.pp ist part of rtl, here.
It must be part of trunk version, because I checked out 3.2.fixes now and I can't see it there.

I already told you so.

If i well undestood the intereting article in the last blaisepascal issue, its goal is to replace the LCL in a near future to ease multiplatform development. About the same goal as Firemonkey for Delphi ?

I think in a better way :-) More compatible with Lazarus (SCNR)

And the route to noware?

Btw an early vesion of what later became the monkey is also Freepascal compatible and also not stable in any meaningful way.

Well that certainly strikes fear in my old heart.   "Offer an alternative" rather than "replace" perhaps?
