Is this an Impostor website for Lazarus ?

Joanna:
I was given a link to hacker news website that was referencing

https://www.getlazarus.org/ what is that website?
It isn’t the official Lazarus ide website is it? It’s kind of worrisome that someone is trying to take credit for Lazarus ide.

The disturbing thing is it offers downloads of Lazarus, I wonder if the downloads might contain malware or something. Why would someone go through all the trouble to pretend to be the Lazarus project ?

It's sysrpl's website and he provides downloads of Lazarus and tries to advertise and raise awareness of the Pascal language.

But is not a star in keeping it up-to-date. He has good intentions, but it is always better to use the official and current distributions.

Yes, you should take care that there is one website for Lazarus, updated all the time. But the page getlazarus is simple, clear, presented in an attractive form. For beginners or lazy people (like me :-) it is most useful. I used the Lazarus installation script for the Raspberry Pi myself. It requires a bit of gymnastics, but is quite comfortable (by Linux standards). The other thing is that Linux is as usable on a desktop or RPi as an epidemic of diarrhea in a hospital.

For RPI, if not some variant of Linux, what OS do you run that is supported by Free Pascal?
