Launcher icon problem

Hi all, if from my lazarus/lamw instance on linux ubuntu i try to change the image for the launcher icon from Project Options -> [LAMW] Android Project Options -> Application
my project no longer compiles. If I try to put the same image from windows, the application compiles. Anyone know why?

Windows work space is more covenience for me
