Which one do I use to open the project?

Thanks in advance:
Trying to convert Delphi to> FreePascal :
I have the following files: Gradient.lpi, Gradient.lpr, Gradient.dpr .
Which one do I use to open the project?

WinXp sp2 , HotBasic,  Delphi5, WebDwarf, Blue Voda WebPage, Lazarus-0.9.26-fpc-2.2.2-win32.exe

well, open file type combobox in the open dialog and you will see .lpi there.

In Lazarus > File > Open
When I cllick on Open  Gradient.lpi
up comes a prompt "Open Project?" and two buttons,
 "Open project" and "open as XML file" .
Clicking 'Open project' does nothing, no response.
Clicking on 'open as xml file', opens  Gradient.lpi  as xml.
