No I wasn't aware, must have slipped by me  :-X
Anyway, when I wrote that, it was 1998 or 1999 and in delphi 2..6. It just stuck with me through the years  ::)

PCLinuxOS(rolling release) 64bit -> KDE5 -> FPC 3.2.2 -> Lazarus 2.2.6 up until Jan 2024 from then on it's: KDE5/QT5 -> FPC 3.3.1 -> Lazarus 3.0

Sounds familiar, in the D4 era I wrote StringCase, doing the same and still using it. I do know that IndexStr exists but cant remember it.  :)
