The `/bin/sh`-requiring problem COULD be related to the unzipped shellscript not having the eXecutable bit set.

Could be. Also my command line experience is a mix of Linux and FreeBSD, favouring the latter.

I got my example program working today, with full responsiveness for the Memos, parsing data flowing in via stderr, and generally working the way I want/need it to :) I've yet to clean it up a bit to be less confusing (both to me and prospective readers), but will post the final result here once finished. Thanks again for your helping hand, marcov! :)

Hi,

Have a look at https://github.com/t-edson/UnTerminal

I use it in Windows and Linux to execute Command line programs with parameters written in C/C++ and capture back the output to a memo.

Hope that help.
