SMTP with SSL on FreeBSD

Hi, I used to send emails via SMTP using the Synapse library from Ararat. It works great on Linux and Windows, but now I'm in FreeBSD and for some reason it cannot load libssl.so.

Does anyone knows how to fix that?, or which library I can use to send emails (multipart) connecting to an SSL SMTP server?
