TApplication.onException with fpDebug takes a lot of time to be invoked

I am using Lazarus 2.2.2 on Windows with fpdebug and with TApplication.onException that refers to a custom routine.

Whenever an exception occours the application takes minutes before the OnException custom routine is invoked.

If I switch to GDB debug then the routine is invoked after few seconds.

Maybe there are some configuration that need to be changed in order to have less time to wait ?
