Lhelp and multiple, multi-monitor setups
« on: May 17, 2022, 12:25:26 pm »
This is with Windows 10, 64-bit.

I have multiple, multi-monitor setups (laptop and two medium screens, or laptop and large screen), and when I switch to the one with the large monitor, lhelp goes off-screen. Normally, you can shift-right-click on the icon in the taskbar and select 'Move', but not with lhelp.

How do I fix that?

No fix, but a workaround for similar situations:
  • ensure the window is active
  • use Alt + Space (this opens the system menu of the window)
  • go down once with the cursor keys which will select the Move entry
  • press Enter
  • press any of the cursor keys (this will snap the window to the mouse cursor)
  • move the window to your screen
  • press the left mouse button to release the window
You can even test this when the window is visible. ;D

It took multiple seconds for it to appear, but it did :)
