ComboBox DropDownCount ignored in Linux
« on: May 10, 2022, 03:23:26 pm »

In Linux (xUbuntu 20.04/Laz 2.2.0) ComboBox expands until it reaches the screen limits and ignores the DropDownCount property.
In W10 (Laz 2.0.6) it works as expected.

Please see screenshots and zip of trivial test program.
DropDownCount=12 was set, it is listed in the .lfm file but is obviously ignored in the Linux version.
(Or is it a Laz 2.2.0 vs. 2.0.6 issue? This I did not check.)
Thanks for a hint.

Hi!

The DropDownCount is ignored in Lazarus with Linux since the beginning of Lazarus.

I think for some technical reasons.

I think this will not change in this millenium.

It's gtk problem (by design), not lazarus.
