I've compiled lazarus on my windows xp machine and all works well, but i cannot choose the font for any component. I've tryed also the precompiled version (also on other machines) but the problem persists. What can I do?

The font selection menu in object inspector is disabled, of course!

This is supported but has been disabled for CrossPlatform reasons, you should change that in your apps code or the .lfm file (like the Delphi's .dfm).
Not all OS'es support Font Size or Style (MAC OS X or some Linux distros, some GTK fonts have problems), until a sollution is found you shold use some other methods.

Can i enable these menus (for example, by modifing lazarus source code, or it's not implemented?)

I did that already but team members decided that for crossplatform reasons Font properties should be disabled, ask the mailing list, or report a bug/wish.
Get one of these spy apps and enable the controls if you don't want to mess the code.
Get EDA(Enable Disable) from http://assarbad.net/en/stuff/ and until the props will be supported use it to enable the controls.

Yeah, i used EDA, but i want to enable it via source code if possible....

Talk to Mattias on the mailing list, i agree with you but for now...
Don't try to fix the code yet as i did, it's not a bug !
