Need Help With Docking. Tools->Desktops->Manage Desktops is not working.

Hello, I am trying to dock the Lazarus IDE windows to suit my workflow but when I try Tools->Desktops->Manage Desktops this does not seem to save the changes I made. It says it has saved my changes but when I try to restore it does not give me back what I thought I just saved.

Any advice and guidance on how to proceed and resolve will be much appreciated.

I have attached a screenshot that has the IDE, FPC and other relevant information.
I am running Linux Debian 5.16.16
