Install FPascal from FreeBSD port tree?

(1/1)

RJPugh:
Greetings.
I want to install FreePascal and Lazarus (eventually) on FreeBSD-13.0-Stable. But at the risk of sounding like a total bonehead, which port is the core or "base" package?

I'll start with the compiler, then worry about Lazarus.

Thanks in advance.

There's a wiki article at: https://wiki.freepascal.org/Installing_Lazarus_on_FreeBSD.

trev:
If you only want to install Free Pascal, then there's also a Wiki article Installing the Free Pascal Compiler - FreeBSD.

Zvoni:
Or use fpcupdeluxe
IIRC, Alf has a FreeBSD-Version
