Please try this: https://github.com/dosza/LAMWManager-win
It does everything for you and it worked very well when I tested the last time.

About the dead link:
You can report here and/or on the mail-list.

It all depends if the page has a maintainer. Or if someone reads it who knows how to fix it. => That is, it is probably possible to find another jdk, but it may take some work/knowledge to ensure it is compatible, or to adapt the rest of the article.

If there is no such person who knows, then it probably want be fixed.
The wiki is maintained by contributors.

If you know how to fix the article, then go ahead. The wiki allows anyone to edit it.

It looks like it does exist, it's just that Oracle now require you to login to access it.

The whole page looks like it needs updating by someone familiar with using LAMW.

My contribution back in November 2020 was to add a link to the author's instructions on GitHub at the end under "See also" as I don't use LAMW and have no Android devices.

I'm moving this to the Android section where the LAMW author and other users hang out.

Nearly three months later and noone has stepped up to update the Wiki :-(

There must be someone in this Forum who is familiar with Android and LAMW and can spare a few minutes!

At present, this is the (typical?) reaction from someone who looks at developing an Android application with Lazarus + LAMW:

Quote
Back to reality. How can Android application be currently created? By quick check of existing Android related wiki pages https://wiki.freepascal.org/Portal:Android I can say that it is quite a mess. A lot of long and some outdated tutorials with many manual steps and auxiliary GUI tools to do a simple thing. To build GUI application. Can it be as simple as creation of a new project and hitting F9 to run in Android emulator? Or without emulator at least to simply compile and create Android package apk. Also you may need trunk FPC or Lazarus, anything can break and will probably break. Upgrade to newer Lazarus and FPC will probably break everything and one will need to do that again. Does it look like only to me as a big waste of time? Would it be better to start implementing partial Android/mobile support directly into IDE? Perhaps as an experimental feature which can be activated from somewhere. Sure, I can answer this by myself, this would take too much effort and there are no volunteers, so whatever.

Anyone can edit the Wiki.

I can help with any Wiki issues, just not with any Android-related material.

You can PM me here on the Forum or write on my Wiki Talk page. I respond within 24 hours.

There must be someone in this Forum who is familiar with Android (...) and can spare a few minutes!

Emphatically /please/, and I'm sure I'm not the only person asking.

I've repeatedly tried to look at Android, but have invariably been put off by the fact that there appear to be multiple conflicting approaches with no indication of what each one does or even which subprojects are actively maintained.
