Bitmap : Delphi to Lazarus

Hi,

I have used Bitmap & Paintbox for graphic appl in Delphi, now i am trying in Lazarus, to run in linux.

But i need a library to support 8bit per pixel for bitmap. Because the Freepascal /Lazarus support only 24 bit, 32 bit per pixel in bitmap (GraphType.pp).
