font in editor unreadable after update to 2.0.12
« on: November 10, 2021, 01:44:06 pm »
Hi, no matter what font I use in the lazarus editor all monospaced fonts (hack, courier, nimbus mono etc.) are unreadable
an "m" looks like an "n" and spacing confuses me when reading the code...
See image

Those fonts are working perfectly well in any other program (konsole, libre office etc)

Does the font look to have the correct glyphs?
That is, if you open the font - that you selected for the IDE - in a font viewer, and compare individual letters, are they the same?

The font in your image does not look as if it is any mono spaced font. So maybe something substituted the font with another one?

Also make sure the field "extra char spacing" in the options is set to zero.

The font preview is displayed correctly in the select/font dialog. But it is not displayed correctly in the example window. See Screenshot

Non monospaced fonts are diplayed even more illegible.

The extra char spacing is set to zero.

NOTE: I have installed a second lazarus installation from git and when I run this lazarus (2.3.0) everything is ok
