Nonsense entries in .po files
« on: September 01, 2021, 07:08:39 pm »
Hi,

recently, I notice some nonsense entries in my po files like:
#: tdlgcustomconfirmation.btn0.caption
msgid "btn0"
msgstr ""

#: tdlgcustomconfirmation.btn1.caption
msgid "btn1"
msgstr ""

#: tdlgcustomconfirmation.btn2.caption
msgid "btn2"
msgstr ""

Althouth I deleted them from the po file and deleted all captions in the form designer to get rid of them forever, they keep coming and coming with each loading/compiling the program.

Has anyone an idea how to stop this?

Thx,

Make a backup copy of your project first, because I am not 100% sure if the following instructions are correct.

Add those entries which you do not want to have in the po file to the "Excluded" list in the project options under "i18n". Use the full "string path", e.g. "tdlgcustomconfirmation.btn0.caption". IIRC it is also required to check "Force update PO files on next build", and use "Run" > "Cleanup and Build" rather than "Run" > "Build"

I don't know the person who is moving the articles to a better suited subcategory.
But I just want to say "thank you" and "sorry", because often I don't find the right place for it and post it in the "miscellaneous" section.

Will try to do better in the future!
