Box2D Status

I have read contradictory opinions in the forum about the Box2D port. Someone could tell me the current status ?
  • This compiles Mac, Linux, Win?
  • Is the right way OPM?
  • A Hello World?
  • Should I use it in a separate thread?

Where? Somebody was shouting nonsense?

More in general box2d is portable on most platforms. It is also a standard for 2D.

I suppose they are only different points of view.

In any case someone said: Box2D is the simplest way.

While someone said: Box2D and Chipmunk are problematic, confusing and difficult to implement.

That is not helpful, unless their real name is actually "Someone"....
