Regarding essential things to report on (the fifth dotted subsection in the section How to ask for help effectively found at
https://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Forum#How_to_ask_for_help_effectively ), here are some of the things I have detected:
the name of your operating system: Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64-bit operating system;
processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70Ghz 3.70 GHz;
the version of your operating system: 6.1.7601;
the version of your Free Pascal Compiler: 3.0.4;
the version of your Lazarus IDE: 2.0.6;
the version of any Lazarus IDE add-on components or libraries: no add-ons that I am aware of;
all error messages that were displayed: no error messages encountered;
any additional details that you may be asked to provide: we’ll see how that goes.
Reading through information presented at
https://wiki.freepascal.org/LAMW#How_to_install_on_Windows, I encountered the statement, “This is working on Windows 8 and 10 Home Edition 64 bits.” Yipes!! I have a Windows 7 system here; so, is the reality of it all that, in fact, my use of Windows 7 is bound and determined to be a barrier against my being able to properly produce an Android app?
Thanks, all, for any advice.
