Hi,

in my big project this ugly error occured again today, Duplicate resource.

Last time was three years ago .. and I didn't know how to solve it,
not even where and how to search for the root of the problem .. No idea.
The only thing I could do was stepping back to the last backup and restart the work.

TODAY ...

.. I found a file with ending  *.reslst  in my output folder
and THERE in this (compiler generated) file (list) I found two resource files with identical filename.

Now I know, what's the root of my problem, and whatfor I have to search ! Yeah !

By the way, is there a list where one can see what TYPE causes the error ?
= 10 ?  = 24 ? ...
Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]
  1. Error: Duplicate resource: Type = ...
usually using latest Lazarus release version with Windows 10

Finally this resource file really was included (more than) two times in the project files ..  >:D
(Old Delphi sources ..  :-[)

It was difficult to find out which {$include xxx.res}  to comment out
to not bring the whole thing down ..
