I need an HTML WYSIWYG editor for my Windows apps
« on: June 09, 2021, 11:40:47 pm »
Platform:  Lazarus 2.0.10  FPC 3.2.0

When I allow my users to edit a TMemo, I use regular HTML tags to format the text, which the user can see and edit.

Is there a component that is a bit more sophisticated, in that it will be HTML underneath, but display only the text to the user?  I expect it would have the usual B, I, U buttons along the top.  Emoticons are not required.

So, you only need bold, italic and underline tags? No colors, no font changes, no paragraph alignment, no tables, no css, no images or whatever html can do ? In this case the JvHTLabel or TJvMarkupviewer of JVCL are sufficient to display the html (they even allow to change fonts). https://wiki.freepascal.org/JVCL_Components#JvCtrls
Mainly Lazarus trunk / fpc 3.2.0 / all 32-bit on Win-10, but many more...
