How to use a debugger with ide 3.2.0/3.2.2?
« on: June 04, 2021, 08:59:03 am »
As I understand the debugger is no longer integrated into the IDE.
Are there any instructions on what i should download and what should i do?
I downloaded ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdb/gdb-10.2.tar.gz but it seems to be just sources.

I assume you use Windows, because you didn't mention that important tidbit. For that you can try one of the GDBs provided as alternatives by Lazarus (both for 32-bit and 64-bit). I don't know if these are statically linked, so it might be that you also need the other libraries that Lazarus usually provides in its mingw/<cpu>-<os> directory.

Thanks, I just put gdb.exe in the directory with the other fpc executables and it worked.
