  • Just an old retired guy practicing what he enjoys.
Cloned the cudatext code from github.
It needed ATSynEdit_package 2.1; I had 1.7.
Cloned the new ATSynEdit_package; compiling found it needed ATBinHex.pas.BitmapResizeBySteps which declaration was present in ATBinHex.
Recompiled ATBinHex and, again, got the message that ATSynEdit needed BitmapResizeBySteps.
Uninstalled ATSynEdit.
Now AtBinHex compiled and installed cleanly.
Cloned AtSynEdit from github, again.
Compiling got the same error message that AtSynEdit needed  BitmapResizeBySteps.

Suggestions, please.

Thank you for your help,
Sherril

Hey SA.Blackmon,

I would advise you to use the OPM(Online Package Manager) to install ATSynEdit.
You can find the OPM on the list of packages you can install. Well, I'm hoping you do since I'm assuming it's part of the SVN.
It comes both on the package list on the IDE and the Install Pacakges tab on fpcupdeluxe. I use fpcupdeluxe and I got it in both places, so now not sure :)

I did exactly that, not so long ago, and the OPM resolved all the dependencies and all installed good.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Gus

Seems you missed LAST version of ATFlatControls. I repeat: get all packages from Github. They are all here
https://github.com/Alexey-T/
And remove all AT* packages in OnlinePkgManager.

Hey Alex,

Many thanks, Alex, I'll do that.

Can you not give GetMem a nudge so we can have those latest version on OPM?

Cheers,
Gus

ATFlatControl from Github and OPM is the same, more over OP stated that he cloned the packages from github. Something else must be happening.
Anyways I updated the following packages again: ATFlatControls, ATSynEdit, ATSynEdit_Cmp, ATSynEdit_Ex, EControl. Thanks for the new versions.

If still 'cannot build', welcome to https://github.com/Alexey-T/CudaText/issues

I had some difficulty understanding what "all" meant. At first I got all the AT* packages and finally the EControl package which was the final piece.

Now, Cudatext builds.

I believe @GetMem listed all that were needed:

ATFlatControls, ATSynEdit, ATSynEdit_Cmp, ATSynEdit_Ex, EControl

Thanks to @Alextp, @gcarreno and @GetMem I learned (first lesson) about OPM (Online Package Manager.)

You all are terrific. Thank you.
