how to open projects made with trunk

hi all,
 in the forum and in many occasions guys are sharing some demos or samples , but when we try to open it ,it doesnt show units /forms..etc , is there any way to convert it by us so it can be opened on our Lazarus versions.

I posted a utility on https://sourceforge.net/p/lazarus-ccr/svn/HEAD/tree/applications/fixlp/ which fixes the changed files so that they are readable by release versions.
