TSimpleIPC under Linux

I'm using TSimpleIPC (both Client and Server) in a project developed and tested under Windows. Now running tests under Linux and it seems to me that the communication between the processes is not taking place. No runtime errors occur. Has anyone had the opportunity to use TSimpleIPC on Windows and Linux experiencing different behaviors on the two platforms?
Microsoft Windows 10 64 bit - Lazarus 3.0 FPC 3.2.2 x86_64-win64-win32/win64

Last time I tried the demo, it worked on my Ubuntu Mate. But that was some years ago. I don't know will it still work correctly now or not.

I believe SimpleIPC has problems under Linux. A demo taken from a past thread:

where two GUI programs exchange messages, works under Windows but not under Linux ...
