libggi
« on: February 10, 2021, 09:30:19 pm »
I was planning to use TextWidth, found it needed unit graph and then that this is not present in linux.

This seven year old topic:
https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?topic=23777.0
led me to libggi and then a google to
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/amd64/libgii1/1:1.0.2-4ubuntu2

It's very old (ubuntu 12.04). Is there nothing more recent?

Running linux mint 19.0 & 20.0.

AFAICT, the latest GGI is 2.2.2, of Jan. 2007 so why Ubuntu would reach ony up to 1.0.12 in 2012 is anybody's guess :o

You should be able to get 2.2.2 deb files from Debian repositories; see their package tracker.

If I were you, though, I would make the jump out of graph and its ilk and start using ptcgraph. JMHO.
Turbo Pascal 3 CP/M - Amstrad PCW 8256 (512 KB !!!) :P
Lazarus/FPC 2.0.8/3.0.4 & 2.0.12/3.2.0 - 32/64 bits on:
(K|L|X)Ubuntu 12..18, Windows XP, 7, 10 and various DOSes.

Looks like it has disappeared from debian. But I'll take your advice and look at ptcgraph.
