It's looking for the *sources*, i.e. the fpcbuild/fpcsrc directory which contains a directory called rtl.

Ok. Correct. Sources were there - I thought. Comparing with Linux-setup I realized that the directory it was looking for can be found at /usr/local/share/fpc-source-3.2.0/ on FreeBSD.

It looks like I can compile the IDE now.
