Project Options Bug?
« on: March 15, 2021, 09:53:06 am »
Hi

I noticed that when I leave the field
Project Options -> Application -> For Windows -> Name
empty and re-build the project, I got a Debugger Error after starting the project from the IDE.

Is this normal?

The field "Description" can be empty but not the field "Name"

Gerold

PS: I used 2.0.12

The more button shows:
Quote
The GDB command:
"-exec-run"
returned the error:
",msg="Error creating process C:\\Users\\martin\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\project1.exe, (error 14001).""

Google indicates 14001 relates to app config.

And if I try to start such an exe outside the IDE, Windows gives me and error that the app can't be started due to some of its config.

So removing the name, appears to create an invalid executable.

I do not know to which versions of Windows that applies. So I am not sure this should be generally forbidden.

If this is for all Windows versions, the IDE should probably give an error. In that case it could be reported as bug.
