MacOS 10.15.5/Lazarus 2.0.10 Build 2020-07-07

Not on the binary level, probably also not on the sourcecode level in all cases. Why would you want that?
Specialize a type, not a var.

My Mac Mini has 2.1 from before 2.0.10 was released.   So will have to uninstall that using the uninstall script.   Thanks.

Yes, provided that for Lazarus 2.10 you:

* tick Project Options > Miscellaneous - Maximise compatibility of project files (LPI and LPS) I have no problems swapping between the two; and
* specify a different .lazarus directory (eg open ~/lazarus-src/lazarus.app --args "--pcp=~/.laz_trunk").
