Cannot open project within IDE

I just upgraded to 2.0.10 (3.2.0) and can open a project by double-clicking Lazarus or the project file (.lpi file). But if I try to open a new project within the Lazarus IDE, it just stuck. What should I check?   Running on Windows 10 - 64 bit.

Try make biggie within the folder of lazarus.

Maybe u have a bad bin or did u not clean the folder before installing ?

go to a project, rigth click and select the correct lazarus exe. Activate open always with this programm. So the binding is refreshed.

I'll check the installations. This happens only at one PC of my three PCs.

It does open.. but takes too long.

I found that this is not issue of OPENing.. rather the issue is the windows of Lazarus are not CLOSED. Forms are closed, but datamodules and its descendants (e,g, webmodule) are not closed.

Source Editor is closed quickly.
