Help vs Code Browser?
« on: July 21, 2020, 03:55:15 pm »
If I press F1 when 'program' is highlighted op a pascal source file I'd expect the help to display https://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Program.
Instead I'm presented with the 'code browser' which isn't much of help.

Is there something I missed?

using Lazarus v2.1.0 r63613
Using v2.0.6 I'm getting 'No help found'

Try to install package chmhelppkg. If you have installed the CHM files, then a windows with help will pop up.

Thanks! - That worked for some topics.
However, after installing package 'chmhelppkg' in v2.1.0 I'm getting the same 'No help found`as in v2.0.6 for many topics
When cursor on Sysutils an Classes, <F1> gets me file:///usr/share/doc/fp-docs/3.0.4/rtl/classes/index.html
Using <F1> while on 'Forms' I get:

The program "/home/arent/laz//components/chmhelp/lhelp/lhelp" does not seem to exist or could not be built!

Main menu [Help|Help]
Missing lhelp
Unable to find the lhelp viewer:
/home/arent/laz//components/chmhelp/lhelp/lhelp
Please compile the lhelp project:
components/chmhelp/lhelp/lhelp.lpi

So I compiled lhelp also, and now I am greeted with an empty help screen when using main menu [Help|Help]...
