Just overwrite existing installation. Upon first launch, the IDE will do one way upgrade to the configuration files and you can rebuild the IDE to have all the components relinked. Assuming no components have breaking code change in the new IDE.

Duplicated post - continue at https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,50689.0.html
I'm starting to feel this forum needs duplicate cross posting prevention.

I tried to move my post to general programing but there is no option for it.

In this case what do I do to move the topic instead of duplicating ?

Sorry, for the duplicating.

Thx
Ramiro
