[SOLVED] Fedora - installation with RPM problem
« on: July 17, 2020, 10:13:34 am »
Hi to all,

a member of the french forum at dvp :
https://www.developpez.net/forums/d2086384/autres-langages/pascal/lazarus/sortie-version-2-0-10-l-edi-multiplateforme-lazarus-free-pascal-3-2-sert-compilateur/#post11593608,
He have a problem with the installation with the latest version of Lazarus. He doesn't speak english, so i translated his message :

Quote
The download on sourceforges of the fpc * .rpm files responds to the installation under fedora with dnf install that these files are not * .rpm files and this for the i686 or 86x64 version. Strange? An explanation for my little neurons. This is the first time i have this anomaly
Thank you in advance

If you have some clues or explainations for he, it will be cool ;)

If you need more informations, i'll ask him.

Cheers

Hi to all the member have found a solution :

I follow up on my post, I managed to install the * .rpm files on a 32-bit pc and another in 64-bit naturally with the correct versions but using the rpm command which seems to say that the * rpm formatting is not compatible this time with the dnf command.
So for me the problem is solved.

Cheers
