Hunspell path missing
« on: July 08, 2020, 11:07:38 pm »
Linux Mint 20.0, Lazarus 2.0.8

Hi, It's been 10-years since I had a new PC and have just bought a new laptop. I have forgotten how to install Hunspell for my programs to find it.

I get an error message about "cannot find the hunspell folder." The programs were compiled on the old PC with this identical setup for Folders and Files so it should be where it was. It was a direct copy, but I suspect it may be looking for a .so file somewhere.

Do I need tor re-compile then entire range of programs that use it, or is there some way to let hunspell know where it is supposed to look?

Thanks

marcov

If your programs try to load hunspell dynamically (with unit dynlibs' loadlibrary/getprocaddress or with dlload/dlsym), then you can try to find out where it looks with strace.

Thanks, but I solved the problem, it was looking for an older version in my compiled programs so I had to recompile all the stuff.
