Getting "invalid file handle" when trying to access Help
« on: June 07, 2020, 11:13:05 pm »
Running on macOS 10.14.6, new Lazarus installation, trying to access "Help" in the Lazarus IDE (either by Help menu -> Help or by clicking on a help link in the properties inspector) gives "invalid file handle" in the help program, which then crashes Lazarus. I'm thinking that the Help file might be missing. Any guidance on it's name and where it should reside, and how I can get one to put there, would be appreciated.

Found another thread at https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,36799.0.html which seems to exactly match my issue. No solution there, just a third user with the same issue as OP and me.

The thread I mentioned above resolved my issue with help on Mojave, apart from the AV error on exit which appears harmless and does not crash the IDE.
