The "Alternative Main Page" page was removed.

First of all, it's not Martin's fault. I was the one who deleted the "Alternative main page" after my design for the real main page was adopted and Martin moved it into place. The new main page was discussed here, on the Wiki, and on the FPC/Lazarus devs mailing list.
I then deleted the page because it had not been seriously updated in years and appeared to be no longer necessary because the new main page covered more topics and was completely up to date.
I agree with Martin - if you wish to take up the maintenance of the "Alternative main page" then it needs a new name. If you don't wish to take up the maintenance of that page, then it should be consigned again to the dustbin of history.

It is a point of view. I have used the alternative main, because i need more a fast link page for fast hopping in the wiki. The new main page is not for fast hopping and ... here and here and here ... with unvisible Links is not comfortable for me. Always to look, what is behind a nondescriptive link is a no go for me.
If the alternate page goes in the dustbin, it is also ok for me. Pages comes and pages go, people come and peoples left, thats life.
Personal i set no link to the new main page, only for my interested pages and remove the 'alternativ main' from the top position in my browsers link manager.
Maybe it can be hold with the title 'fastlinklist' and a banner 'please update' :-)

You mean the "app gallery" section?
True, that could be improved. IMHO the 3 links could go into a bullet point list.
There are other links embedded in the text, but they all looked quite clear to me. Correct me if you think otherwise.

- I restored the full history (for credits)
- moved it to https://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Quick_Links
- updated the intro Text
- Added the Portal gallery.
From there, I leave it to whatever will happen with it. (Its a good page, at least at first sight / if maintained)
I temporarily put a link (no auto forward) to the new Page on the old url.
However, please update your links. The old url will eventually be removed again. (If I do not forget about it)
I hope the new location is suitable for everyone.
