Components without source code.
« on: May 11, 2020, 09:54:22 pm »
Hello.
Is it possible for me to share the components I wrote without transmitting the full source code?
I.e. I wrote components for Lazarus.
And I want to transfer them to my client, but so that he could not see and change the source code.
As far as I know, Lazarus planned to add such an opportunity.
* Will it be implemented and when?

Copying the .ppu and .o files should suffice, but they must be for your client's exact OS, CPU, and compiler + LCL versions.
Much easier is to deliver the source and define a restrictive license for it.
The motto says "Write Once, Compile Anywhere".

Mostly Lazarus trunk and FPC 3.2 on Manjaro Linux 64-bit.
